Shipping Policy
Your letter from The Goodfellows Letter Service will be mailed out on the 1st of each month (or the next business day when this is a public holiday or weekend day in NSW, Australia, AEST). Your monthly letter is mailed in a traditional DL envelope with a metered postage stamp. It will be sent through Australia Post. Mail sent with postage stamps cannot be tracked, so estimated shipping times will vary depending on your location. We cannot provide accurate shipping times or tracking, only estimates of when your letter will arrive. Take a look at our FAQs on our website under “When will I receive my letter” for our shipping estimates, or reach out to us at hello@thegoodfellowsletterservice.com. If you live outside Australia, your letter is sent via multiple international postal systems, so there is the possibility your letter may be lost or damaged in transit. Please refer to our Refund Policy for information on lost or damaged letters.
We are not responsible for an incorrect or undeliverable address provided to us by you. It is the responsibility of the buyer to make sure that they enter their shipping address details correctly. If you mistype your shipping address during checkout and we send your letters to a wrong address, you are not entitled to a refund. However, we will resend your letters to the right address as a courtesy, if you are unable to retrieve the letters from your local post office. We will resend your letters up to 2 months back only.
It is the responsibility of the customer to notify us of an address change, or to update their address details themselves in their account. There is only a small window of time each month to change your address through your account settings or by reaching out to us, before your letter is prepared and posted. If you need to change your shipping address, please write to us asap at hello@thegoodfellowsletterservice.com. We will do our best to make the change in time for your next letter, however, if it is too late and your letter has already been posted on the 1st, then we can post your next letter to the correct address. Please get in touch with your local post office so they can hold that letter for you and redirect it to your new address.
